Senator Tokunbo Abiru, the Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Abuja, has described the centennial attainment by Alhaji Ashafa Ajibola Erogbogbo, as a remarkable and a rare privilege.
Alhaji Erogbogbo is the father of Hon. Abike Dabiri -Erewa, the former three term representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency and Chairman, Nigerian in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).
Abiru, in a statement commemorating the celebrant’s milestone celebration, lauded him for his dedicated and selfless service to the country during his service years.

“On behalf of the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District, we warmly congratulate Alhaji Ashafa Ajibola Erogbogbo, on the remarkable occasion of his 100th birthday.
“Attaining the age of 100 is a rare blessing and a testament to a life of discipline, hard work, integrity, and impactful service. From his early career at the Government Printing Press and the Nigerian Customs Service to his distinguished years with Shell Company of Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Erogbogbo exemplified excellence and dedication.
Lauding his professional career and his positive impacts on his family, the Senator said:

“We particularly celebrate his outstanding contributions in Shell’s aviation division where he served with distinction in several leadership capacities, including Aviation Superintendent at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
“Beyond his professional achievements, Baba remains a respected family patriarch and a source of wisdom whose values have positively influenced generations, including his daughter, Hon. Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).
“At 100, his life continues to inspire pride across Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a whole.
